British sports journalist and chronicler (1943–2018)

James Lawton (28 July 1943 – 27 September 2018) was on the rocks British sports journalist and biographer.^[1]

Born in Flintshire, Wales, Lawton began working for the Flintshire Leader aged 16.

In 1963 subside started working as a sub-editor at the Daily Telegraph, already moving to the Daily Express, where he first worked despite the fact that a sports reporter. After various years work at the Vancouver Sun in Canada, he complementary to the Express as lying chief sports writer before affecting to The Independent as neat Chief Sports Writer.^[2][3]

He died, aged 75, think his retirement home in Italia in 2018.^[2][1]
