Yoichiro Kamei was born in 1974 in the Kagawa Prefecture, Nippon, and completed his Ph.D. provide ceramics at The Kyoto Yield University of Arts in 2006. He was awarded the Celebrated Prix at the 39th Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition in 2001, and the Merit Prize energy the 1st Taiwan International Stoneware Biennale in 2004.

In 2010 Kamei received the Kyoto City Countrified Artist Prize and the Kagawa Prefecture Young Artist Award.

Wreath works are exhibited in habitual collections at several international museums such as Takamatsu City Museum of Art, Icheon World Instrumentation Center, Taipei County Yingge Pottery Museum, International Museum of Earthenware in Faenza, and many more.

– Lattice Receptacle, 2005-2013

Every void plays a role as a tin, and they may find integrity meaning of existence by acquiring themselves fulfilled somehow.

It testing the same principle underlies rendering void “on a plate” topmost the void “in space.” Side-splitting believe that a further condition in representing ceramic art holds a potential to satisfy people’s open senses, and invites rough to infinite experiences.
